Mayer Brown’s Independent Road Safety Team recently undertook a Stage 3 Road Safety Audit of Section 278 Highway Works facilitating access to a residential development at Longden Road in Shrewsbury.
The Audit is our final element of work on this SJ Roberts project, which began with Topographical Surveys and Transport Planning work in 2013. This was followed by detailed design of Section 278 and Section 38 highways commencing in 2014, then on to Local Authority approval in late 2016.
The development has subsequently been built-out and is fully occupied and ready for handover to Shropshire County Council.
An excellent example of how our multi-disciplinary practice can manage a scheme, dealing with Environmental, Transport and Flood Risk issues, before delivering detailed infrastructure design of highways, including foul and surface water systems.
