Enabling Highway Works Phase 2

This project was the second phase of the enabling highway works for the Beaulieu Park Development and involved the construction of a four-arm roundabout on Essex Regiment Way, a derestricted speed limit road which is the main route to the north of Chelmsford.

Guiding Proposals

Mayer Brown’s infrastructure design team were appointed to develop the detailed design and guide the proposals through the Section 278 Agreement process. The project included the Detailed Design, Contract Administration and Supervision of £850,000 of S278 Highway Infrastructure Improvement Works, including drainage improvements, passively safe street lighting, vehicle restraint system, traffic signing, road markings and carriageway improvements.

Final Results

The works were completed on time and budget and adopted by the highway authority following the maintenance period. The Developer was then able to utilise the new junction to provide access to other areas of the development site.
