Vera has over 25 years of experience in development planning, advising clients on transport planning and infrastructure, in the private and public sectors. Vera first joined Mayer Brown in 1993, prior to this Vera worked for KBR, which included secondments to Surrey County Council and Cementation Construction Ltd. Vera is therefore able to draw on her experience in private sector, public sector and implementation to assist clients maximise their site’s potential.
As a Director of Mayer Brown, Vera has responsibility for the management of the business. In addition, Vera leads a team of engineers and transport planners providing advice to clients on a diverse range of development projects including retail, residential, commercial, leisure, mixed use and public sector schemes. Vera is responsible for delivery to programme and budget and the technical excellence of the advice provided to clients, which covers the full spectrum from scheme conception, through planning support and associated legal agreements. Vera is a skilled negotiator and seeks to develop project strategies and innovative solutions to meet, and exceed, client aspirations.
Vera is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation and the Chartered Management Institute.
